Presidential politics

Here’s how I feel about Presidential Politics.  To paraphrase I-don’t-remember-who:

Any person that can be elected to be President, doesn’t deserve to be president.

And:

Any person that can get themselves elected as President should on no account be allowed to hold that office.

And as Lord Acton said:

The danger is not that a particular class is unfit to govern.  Every class is unfit to govern.

  1. Until we put someone in the White house that actually understands the people they represent, we will always have problems.

  2. Oh, I agree up to a point. We’d have problems even then. But that was not the point of what I was saying. My thought is this: Any person that can, ,and is willing to, do the things necessary to get elected to high office in this (or most any) country today, is not someone that I really trust to fill that office and serve the needs of the country as a whole.

I don’t generally participate in political discussion; I just wanted my point clarified.
