Test Post - Ecto; Time setting for post; #2
From previous post:
During my test trial of Ecto, I’ve found that my posts do not show up on the blog web site immediately when posting. Time setting for the post is incorrect; it looks like the time when pushed up to the server is an hour or two in the future, not the current time as shown on my laptop.
This test is for a setting change in Ecto: “Tools”, “Blog Options…”, “Misc”, “Use current date when posting”.
Edit: Update: the setting change did not fix the post time problem. Looking at the time for the post on the server, it is set at 13:14:22, or two hours in the future. As with previous posts, after editing the entry in Ecto, the post time is corrected.
Checking the current setting on my WordPress.com blog, I found the time zone setting to be wrong; I had it set for -5 hours; it should have been set for -6 hours. I must have had it set to -5 hours for daylight saving time. I don’t remember, but WP might not have automatically adjusted for DST.
