Update on Current Reading

I finished reading Thirteen this morning, and am pretty well satisfied with the book. I’ll probably read it again sometime, as I often do with books that I’ve enjoyed reading enough the first time around. There are quite a few books that I’ve read more than once; some that I’ve read several times over the years.

I started reading Miles, Mutants and Microbes this morning, and gave up just a few pages into it. I probably would have enjoyed reading it when I was in my early teens, but I need more from a book in my middle age.

Since Miles, Mutants and Microbes didn’t keep my interest, I began The Space Opera Renaissance. I decided to skip most of the first half of the book, choosing to begin with reading stories from the 70’s and 80’s. I may end up going back to the earlier stories eventually, but at the moment I kind of doubt it.
